But here we are with the former statement, “New Fashion Line coming soon,” and it was delivered on Instagram by our beautiful but troubled—less so in current months!—actress visit Lindsay Lohan. She makes laughed a new clothing line on Instagram on Friday, but details are scarce. The only thing we have to go on is a selfie that occurs with the caption, which shows her in a headscarf.
Though details are a thing we want, details are a thing we can’t yet have because Lohan is no rule.
For those of us who, at one point or another, reflected on letting life imitate art by wearing pink on Wednesdays, you might take interest in the news that Lindsay Lohan says she's launching a fashion line.
On Monday, the
Mean Girls actress—who's had a rude decade or so—Instagrammed a photo of herself wearing a headscarf with the title "New Fashion Line coming soon ... The photo already has 159,394 likes and more than 5,000 comments, which shows the Internet loves a comeback story—or just loves to speculate.
In the photo, the 30-year-old is carrying a headscarf, which clearly has commenters wondering if her line might incorporate modest wear in some volume. After spending time with Syrian refugees in Turkey, Lohan has been photographed wearing a traditional hijab. Back in January, the actress cleaned her entire Instagram feed and replaced her bio with the words Alaikum salam, which means and unto you peace in Arabic. This led to speculation that she'd turned to Islam during her time in the Middle East, but there hasn't been any endorsement from Lohan or her team. No word on when (if?) the collection will launch but if LiLo's project line does include modest wear, she'll be joining the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Dolce and Gabbana, most recently, Nike, which all offer conservative designs.
Lohan has recently dedicated herself to the Syrian emigres, a sincerely noble thing. And when she has a free moment, she takes to gently prodding whoever is in charge of casting the nonexistent (yet) The Little Mermaid musical show.
That is to say, she’s busy, but not too busy for a fashion venture. Her new line could easily fall into her most recent re-branding the charitable, message-sending kind. If it is a line of headscarves, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.
